- Primary Observation Portraits Exercise
This was the first drawing of HA3, we were told to draw each other with certain limitation on time and technique. This one had a 2 minute time limit on it to try and get the best results in a short amount of time.
This drawing was made also with a time limit but it was created using a different type of media
This drawing also had a time limit but we had to include a big smile as wide as the head.
This drawing was created with the limitation of not being allowed to take the pen off of the paper, there was also a time limit.
This task was to draw our faces from life in various expressions, i found this hard as i am not good at drawing details and im not good at spacing where everything goes
03
- Primary Observation Figures Exercise
These figure drawings were taken from life, i had to draw figure in various poses such as sitting, standing and moving
The drawings of the still figures were easy to do as they were still and they were easy to observe as nothing would change too much.
The moving figures were harder then the previous ones as its harder to observe since they are moving and you have to constantly adjust along with them.
04
- Primary Observation Expressive Hands Exercise
These drawings of hand poses were taken from life, i used my left hand as a model and posed it in various positions like peace, anger, wave and ok. I experimented with shading and i think that it looks decent from afar.
05
- Secondary Observation Gridded Exercise
This task was to draw within a grid, this exercise would encourage precision as you could precisely draw with the grid to get the most accurate drawing possible. I found this interesting as i found myself trying very hard to stick with the grid. the areas that were darker were harder to draw as it was hard to see those areas.

- Three Point Perspective Exercise
This drawing was created using Three Point perspective, this is the perspective that we see. I found this exercise easier then the two point perspective. All of these were quite simple as soon as i understood it.
05
- Two Point Perspective Spacestation Exercise
This drawing of a space station was created using 2 point perspective, we followed a video tutorial to create this piece like with the manga face drawings. I followed the video as closely as i could, although i had some trouble with the perspective in some areas. after completing the drawing in pencil i went back over it using a fine liner.
06
- Crated Primitive Objects Exercise
The following exercises were drawn using the crate method, i used the crate method to draw a pyramid, this was quite easy as there are very few lines to draw.
This drawing of a cone was also quite easy as there are also no a lot of lines to draw.
This cylinder, like the previous ones i found it easy to draw although the circle on the left side is in a small space, this area was hard to get correct.
This drawing of a Torus was the hardest one of these drawing to draw due to all of the necessary construction lines not being there.
This drawing of a sphere using the crate method was difficult to understand but after having it explained it was quite easy to draw.

These four pictures were created using Soft Pastels. for this we also had to go out and find the areas that the images were taken from so that we could draw from life.
01
- Party Blower Ideas Generation Exercise
All of the 20 drawings ahead were created with the task of "Alternate uses for a Party Blower" in mind. I found this task quite hard as i found it really difficult to think of ideas past the first few.
This idea is of a party blower Recorder instrument.
This idea is of a party blower Fly Swatter
this idea is of a party blower Parachute.
this idea is of a Speed Regulator.
01
- Colour Wheel Exercise
This colour wheel is a very basic colour wheel, with only 3 primary, 3 secondary and 6 tertiary colours. Each was created using coloured marker pens, these were hard to blend together so we cross hatched them.
02
- Analogous Colour Scheme Exercise
This task was to colour the squares in with Analogous colour schemes (colours next to each other on the colour wheel) This was quite easy as it was just colouring in with appropriate colours.
03
- Complementary Colour Scheme Exercise
This task was to colour the squares with Complementary Colour scheme (colours that are opposite on the colour wheel) Like the previous colouring task it was easy as it was just finding the appropriate colours to colour in the page.
04
- Triadic Colour Scheme Exercise
This task was to colour the squares with a Triadic Colour Scheme (colours that are equally apart on the colour wheel) this was the most difficult as finding appropriate colours in in the limit colour pool could be hard.
01
- Brush and Ink Landscape Exercise
This task was to draw from life from nature, we used ink for this task. We had to split the drawing up into 4 separate images the stitch them together using Photoshop. This was difficult as using ink is difficult but it was only made even harder with the fact that it was windy outside when we did this task, the wink blew the ink and messed up some parts of the image.
